Darwin Week 2020 will run February 10 - 13. All events are free and open to the public. The full schedule can be found below.

This year, we will have two visiting speakers: Dr. Pam Soltis and Dr. Joan Strassmann! Dr. Strassmann will be speaking on Monday at 2pm and 7pm, Dr. Soltis will be speaking Thursday at 2pm and 7pm. Each speaker's 2pm talk will be more technically oriented while the 7pm talks will be geared towards a more general audience. Talk titles can be found in the schedule below.

The annual Darwin Week Student Symposium will be held on Tuesday at 6:30pm in Guyon Auditorium. This years theme will be celebrating great women in science in recognition of International Day of Women And Girls in Science.

This year's Darwin Week will also feature a game night and art show on Wednesday in the SIU Student Center. At the game night, there will be a tournament of Evolution: The Beginning with prizes for winners and a raffle for all participants. Click here for a more detailed description of the game night. The art show will feature works from the SIU community and exhibits from SIU natural history collections.
